On Pitch Performing Arts (OPPA!) Layton’s ONLY live Theatre
Auditions for Disney’s Tarzan

A sprinkle of Disney magic will swing its way to Layton this summer as On Pitch Performing Arts has announced Auditions for their summer musical Disney’s “Tarzan.”

Brandon Stauffer, who previously directed OPPA’s “Nunsense,” is set to return and bring “Tarzan” to life.

“I am so excited to bring the amazing score and story to our stage” said Brandon Stauffer, director and executive director for OPPA!, “The intimacy of the show and the heartfelt music make it perfect for our big summer family show, we hope that we get all ages and tons of families joining us on stage at Layton’s ONLY Live theatre.’”

“Tarzan” tells the story of an infant boy who washes up on the shores of West Africa and is raised by gorillas, Tarzan’s life is mostly monkey business until a human expedition treks into his tribe’s territory and he encounters creatures like himself for the first time.

“Tarzan” features music by Phil Collins and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang. The stage production is based on Disney’s animated film of the same name and Edgar Rice Burroughs’ story, “Tarzan of the Apes.”

Auditions are from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. May 22nd at On Pitch Performing Arts, 587 N Main Street Layton, UT.  Callbacks will be by invitation on May 26th.

Rehearsals will begin May 29th. Performances will occur July 26th – August 4th.
